The Puppy Training experience

We introduce the puppies to common grown-up dog activities like nail-trimming, brushing, walking on a leash, playing in the house, getting wet, bathing and towel drying. They spend a lot of time playing with their dog parents to encourage social skills and self-confidence.

They begin potty training early around 6 weeks. At this age they can hold their bowels and prefer not to get their pen messy. They visit the yard 3-4 times per day and become accustom to a routine. When playing in the house they are encouraged to use pee pads and often do so on their own.

They are handled by a variety of family members to encourage comfort with men, women, and children. While playing in the yard. they are around other animals including cats, guinea pigs and chickens to calmly introduce them to other creatures and discourage chasing and pestering.
